I wanted to check out Nathan Bear’s new service where he trades options just 2 days a week.

If you like the idea of this simple approach, where you are not overwhelmed with trades then you might also like Bullseye Trades by Jeff Bishop.
He trained Nathan and is one of the most successful options traders in the world.

Nathan Bear is one of the RagingBull gurus. He was a student with these services and became extremely successful.
Here is a video all about Nate’s story and past.
He started to realize that many members were overwhelmed in these services with to many trades!
So, he started this simple service where he just gives two of his best trade ideas a week.
Here’s what you can expect on a weekly basis and the goals for this service:
- Monday + Wednesday: Real time Entry alert + Email trade plan
- The other days of the week might consist of either profit taking or trade management like adding to positions. Nathan keeps you up to date on any moves that he makes.
- Goals: 100%+ winner in 2 days or less
First Trade in Nathan Bear Double Down Service, $Z
I wanted to write up a few trades in this service. At the time of writing this, the service is only a week old. The market is horrendous and not friendly to swing trading stocks options.
On Thursday, Nate liked $Z for a bullish position. The chart had pulled back and there was a large % short on the float.
He bought 30 calls (10/23 $110 calls) which was a small position for him. Unfortunately, the next day there was a big pull back and he quickly cut his losses.
The other trade he did in his first week was a winner. The trade was:
$DKS 10/16 $62 calls @ $1.23 10/14
He closed it soon afterwards @ $1.25 for a small win.
So far, not a fantastic start to this service….but the market is terrible.
Week 2: $W options trade
Nathan bought some calls on $W this week. Here is what he bought:
‘bto W 10/23 $340 calls @ .55 – I’m now full size, avg .95’
Unfortunately, the next day was a bad day for both the market and for $W and he sold for a large loss – 50% roughly.
Here is his exit email….
‘I was stopped out on the W trade:
Sold to close @ 10/23 $340 calls @ .43 – tough trade and tough market. I really like this chart, but it’s just not working so I’m going to have t move on here.
Thinking that cash is probably the best position on the planet right now.
Education Resources and Trade Alert Videos
Nate does live trade video alerts for each of his trades – I love this because he places the trade and explains what he is going and why.
Here is a screen shot from his trade on $DKS showing his bullish thesis regarding an upcoming breakout above a triple top. It kind of worked….
The educational video suite is decent and includes videos on:
- Nates TPS trading system
- His scanning system for finding trades
- Fibonacci theory
- Short squeezes
- Market psychology
Not bad…..but it could be more involved. There are cheaper services that have much more extensive educational suites (like Jason Bond Rooster Report).
Nathan Bear Double Down Review: Conclusions
I like Nate. He comes across as genuine and quite calming! I also like the idea of just 2 trades a week on particular days.
I think the service is worth a shot if you want to trade some options without spending a ton of time on them.
