This is the guy that appears in most YouTube ads for Carnivore Trading. But who is he? He goes by what seems to me to be an alias ‘Dutch Masters’.
Carnivore Trading was established by a three self-proclaimed seasoned financial experts: Dutch Masters, Trader Z, and Jay.
Each member brings a wealth of experience garnered from their tenure as Wall Street veterans, boasting a cumulative trading acumen exceeding 100 years.
Their collaborative history allegedly includes esteemed positions within some of Wall Street’s most prominent and prestigious institutions.

One of my major concerns that I raise in this Carnivore Trading review is the lack of transparency and aliases used by the traders that run the site.
The utilization of aliases presents a significant obstacle in fostering trust within the realm of investment advice and trade alerts.
The opacity surrounding the identities behind these aliases raises pertinent questions regarding their intentions and credibility.
Despite the apparent detrimental impact on their reputation and business prospects, the individuals that run Carnivore Trading persist in adopting this approach.
One would expect that individuals offering a legit service on stock selection would readily embrace personal branding as a means to establish authority and build trust.
However, the adoption of aliases suggests a reluctance to stand behind their recommendations with full transparency. In my mind this raises doubts regarding the authenticity and reliability of their counsel.

It prompts inquiries into whether they possess the requisite confidence in their insights to associate them openly with their own identities.
For example, I can’t find ANYTHING about Dutch Masters online and this makes me think it’s a false name.
The other two founders go by ‘Trader Z’ and just ‘Jay’. Perhaps hiding behind aliases is justified for other reasons (for example safety) but it doesn’t leave a good impression in my mind.
I believe some of them might be well known as they do give interviews on the major networks however I can’t find any that give real names (maybe you guys can though?)
The only information that I can find out is that ‘Jay’ is likely a guy called Jason Kemble Adams who possesses a robust finance background, complemented by his possession of a series 65 license. This was just from another blogger though so who knows if it is correct.
He has cultivated his expertise through tenure at esteemed institutions such as J.P. Morgan and Bear Stearns.
This is still not fully verified information and may be incorrect.

Carnivore Trading Review: What Do You Get?
Currently Carnivore Trading is offering a 14-day free trial. Which is a really good thing!
You get A LOT for your money. That’s not to say it’s high quality (just yet) I will update this review as I go to monitor that aspect!
It’s currently 3 months into the year and these guys are claiming they have year-to-date performance of 119%…..
This raises a huge red flag to me – they’ve really more than doubled their account in 3 months? When I read the disclaimer it also isn’t clear if this includes the ‘hypothetical portfolio’ that is mentioned within it.
It all became clear though when I signed up for the service and looked into things more……and found this…..
So, this means they aren’t real trades? Interesting. Most companies don’t (or shouldn’t) advertise model portfolio results on their website as people see them and think ‘oh I could just follow those alerts and duplicate them’.

So, when things like MACD and RSI etc. all align along with some typical chart pattern like bounce of support or a pennant flag, double top or double bottom etc. then they will often open a position.

It’s nothing especially new or novel but they do seem to stack a lot of indicators for confluence which I like.
These are swing trades on big stocks with big positions (in a hypothetical portfolio) but there is no reason you couldn’t switch to long dated options for example.

This is where things get crazy for me. They claim HUGE results like the performance shown below for 2023…..
Am I reading this wrong? I see a gain for last year of 540%……did they just compound the entire portfolio!?
Immediately I am a bit suspicious of these results but it doesn’t stop there.
They claim similar gains for other years as well.
Hmmmmmm.

If the results are real, they basically use a lot of leverage and scale into winning positions.
It’s hard to figure out how much you should be allocating based on how much leverage they use.
They also tout their pre-planned swing positions, but then throughout the days there are often a number of surprises which are hard to keep track of.
Carnivore Trading Review: Trading Academy
I would love to write more about this but it took be to a nicely polished site that wanted me to reserve my seat blah blah so I decided to give it a miss.
I think that is a theme I am seeing with this group is the branding and well-polished website pages probably draw people in.
I was hoping the Trading Academy would just be a nice archive of video lessons detailing the strategies the Carnivores used to make 500% a year……alas it was not to be!

However, something just doesn’t ‘feel’ right about the model portfolio that they show, and the HUGE returns are a big red flag to me.
I’d really like to know if these guys are trading these large positions on paper or for real.
Maybe someone could answer me that?
