Is Nate Bear’s Profit Surge Trader worth the money? I subscribed to the service, followed its alerts, documented trade examples, and interviewed Nate Bear myself. This review goes beyond the sales pitch to examine the strategy, historical results, limitations, and what a new subscriber should know.
My verdict: I found the scheduled trading sessions and detailed alerts genuinely useful, especially at the promotional price I originally paid. But the impressive winning trades shown below are historical examples—not a promise of what anyone will earn today.

What Is Nate Bear’s Profit Surge Trader?
Profit Surge Trader is an options-trading alert and education service built around Nate Bear’s momentum approach. Historically, its flagship “One Ticker Payouts” format focused on one stock for several weeks, frequently looking at the aftermath of earnings surprises. The main livestream took place on Mondays around noon Eastern, with alerts and recordings available to subscribers. Schedules and included services may have changed, so check the current offer.
Who Is Nathan Bear?
I followed Nate Bear back when he taught his TPS strategy at RagingBull. His background and ability to explain trades were part of why I tried Profit Surge Trader. I also interviewed him for my YouTube channel; you can watch the conversation below and assess his approach for yourself.
How the One Ticker Payouts Strategy Works
- Find a catalyst: Identify a stock that has experienced an important earnings surprise or another momentum catalyst.
- Study the chart: Look for price behavior suggesting the move could continue, while recognizing that reversals are common.
- Choose an options setup: Evaluate strike, expiration, premium, liquidity and risk before placing any trade.
- Manage the exit: Follow a plan for profit-taking and losses rather than assuming every move will continue.
The underlying concept resembles post-earnings announcement drift, but this market phenomenon does not guarantee that any particular stock or options trade will be profitable. Time decay, volatility changes, and execution costs can overwhelm a correct directional thesis.
Historical Results: What I Tracked
For October 20, 2023 to October 20, 2024, my original article reported 111 winners out of 138 trades (about 80.4%), an average reported return of 7.4% per trade including losing trades, and an average holding period of five days. These are historical figures from my original tracking summary, not audited customer account returns or verified 2026 performance.
| Metric | Historical figure |
|---|---|
| Period | Oct 20, 2023–Oct 20, 2024 |
| Trades tracked | 138 |
| Winners | 111 |
| Win rate | 80.4% |
| Average reported trade return | 7.4% |
| Average holding time | 5 days |
Win rate alone is not sufficient to judge a trading strategy: a small number of large losses can outweigh many modest winners. Subscriber outcomes can also differ from alert returns because of fills, slippage, commissions and position sizing.
An Earlier Track Record Provided by Nate’s Team
In December 2023, Nate’s team supplied the following inception-to-date summary. I am including the original screenshot for transparency. It was supplied by the service and should not be mistaken for independent auditing.

Real Trade Examples From My Original Review
Target (TGT): Entry, Exit and a Later 105% Example
The first Target example shows the actual alert format, including the contract, price and timing. It illustrates why knowing the precise option contract matters more than a vague stock recommendation.

A later Target alert pair showed a reported 105% gain over six days. This is an individual historical winner, not a typical or expected return.

Microsoft (MSFT): Reported 35% Gain
In January 2024, I documented a Microsoft call-options alert and a subsequent exit showing a reported 35% gain. The screenshots below preserve the trade context.

Amazon (AMZN): Reported 45% Overnight
Another historical alert involved Amazon options, with a reported 45% overnight move. Rapid moves can work both ways, and the price a subscriber actually pays can significantly change the outcome.

AMD: A Reported 250%+ Options Move
One of the most dramatic historical examples was an AMD options move that I discussed in the video below. It is an outlier, not a reasonable baseline for projecting returns.
Palantir (PLTR): A Reported 100%+ Winner
I also published a video documenting a PLTR trade reported to have returned more than 100%. Watch the original analysis for the context of that trade.

What I Like About Profit Surge Trader
- Predictable live sessions: The historical Monday format made it easier to plan when to follow the strategy.
- Trade explanations: Nate discussed the rationale behind setups, rather than providing only a ticker symbol.
- Focused research: Concentrating on a smaller set of stocks can make chart study more manageable.
- Educational value: Even skipped trades can be useful case studies in options and momentum.
What I Don’t Like
- Alert slippage: Options premiums can move before subscribers can enter.
- Substantial risk: Short-dated options can lose most or all of their value quickly.
- Uneven outcomes: Headline winners may not reflect typical subscriber results.
- Active management: This is not passive investing or guaranteed income.
- Upsells: Evaluate the core service separately from any additional offers.
How Much Does Profit Surge Trader Cost?
I originally paid around $179 per year, which I considered good value for the educational sessions and alerts. That was my historical purchase price, not a verified October 2026 quote. Confirm the current price, renewal terms, cancellation policy, and what is included before subscribing.

Is Profit Surge Trader a Scam?
Based on my firsthand experience receiving alerts, watching sessions, documenting trades and interviewing Nate Bear, I regard it as a genuine trading-alert and education service. That does not establish that the strategy is profitable for every subscriber. A legitimate service can still deliver losing trades, and promotional results deserve scrutiny.
Is It Suitable for Beginners?
If you are new to options, learn calls, puts, expiration, time decay, implied volatility and position sizing before risking capital. Paper trading can help you understand order entry and how actual fills compare with published alerts. Be truthful about your experience when applying for brokerage options approval.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Nate Bear trade one stock all month?
The historical One Ticker Payouts format focused on a primary stock over several weeks, sometimes with bonus trade ideas. Confirm the current format with the publisher.
Can subscribers replicate the published results?
Not necessarily. Different entry prices, bid-ask spreads, exits, commissions and account restrictions can lead to materially different results.
Does the subscription include a refund guarantee?
Earlier promotions described refund terms, but I have not independently verified the current offer. Read the actual checkout and refund policy; any subscription refund would not reimburse trading losses.
Is the service appropriate for someone who wants passive income?
No. Speculative options trading requires risk tolerance, time and attention. Returns are not guaranteed.
My Final Verdict on Nate Bear Profit Surge Trader
I liked Profit Surge Trader because it combined scheduled trading discussions, specific options ideas and useful educational commentary. My original review documented a substantial number of winning alerts, but also losing trades and the practical difficulty of matching an alert provider’s execution prices.
If you already understand options risk and value live analysis, it may be worth considering. If you are looking for safe, predictable income, this is not the right type of product.
