Ways to Use LottoX
You can use this service in a few different ways.
Email alerts: You can get email alerts and trade based on them.
Ben does a live chatroom: You can watch Ben as he trades and gives guidance in the live chatroom. This is an awesome feature because you can see how he thinks and operates in real-time!
Video lectures: There are video lectures available that go over the different concepts of trading options with 0-DTE.

I don’t wait for them to alert an exit for the trades…I start selling at around 20%… when it gets really moving, start leaving runners.
I don’t choose which 0DTE play I’ll take because it will skew the results…
It’s possible that you’ll take the major runner or the one which flops.
If I’m fortunate enough to get a “home run,” it’s simply a pleasant bonus.
However, in my experience, waiting for a home run usually is a bad idea. Instead of seeking for bigger wins and waiting for a home run, I’d prefer taking little victories and repeating the process over and over.

Hailing from the state of Kentucky, Ben Sturgill is a highly experienced trader who’s been in the business for over 15 years.
Has been interviewed by notable trading publications like “Stocks & Commodities”
In addition, he is a regular contributor to some of the most popular trading podcasts and webinars!
Ben is a former professional basketball player and a financial educator who has been trading stocks for over a decade. He, like his colleagues Jason Bond and Jeff Bishop, appears to be rather successful in this field.

Ben runs a live chatroom for these highly volatile trades every Thursday at 12:30 p.m. ET. These are all recorded and kept in an archive for future subscribers to view.
Ben begins each meeting by providing an overview of the current market conditions.

In these sessions, Ben and Ethan appear to utilize well-known technical analysis such as volume and price.
When picking a stock to trade 0-DTE options on, things like breaking VWAP, Moving Averages, Flags, and the TTM Squeeze are all considered.
During the live trading commentary, they provide a wealth of useful data on purchasing possibilities, block trades that have occurred, open interest, and other related topics.
I’ve watched a few of these live sessions, and I have to say that they are incredibly useful!
If you want to learn more about technical would definitely recommend checking out some of these live sessions. They are an excellent way to gain insights into how the market works and how to trade options effectively.

Not Easy to Find Track Record
This is, without a doubt, my greatest complaint about this service – there is no track record and it’s frequently not clear what trades they’re taking.

So, I thought I’d put together my own track record :). Every week I will try to record and a video on the 0-DTE trades from LottoX.

Week 1 (7/7/22)
All for the next day expiration….so these were alerted Thursday 7/7/22. Not a great week as the market dropped the next day taking many of these trades with it.
AMZN Long. Contract $118 Calls. Trading around $0.52
AAPL Long. Contract: $147 Calls. Trading around $0.63
SNAP Long. Contract: $15 Calls. Trading around $0.27
LCID Long. Contract: $20 Calls. Trading around $0.18
Week 2: 7/14/22
My results. You may do much better or worse…..I am looking to get a net profit of 10% – 20% from these ASAP then exit :). This week was about 14% net profit. Staying nimble and trading these defensively is my goal in this market.
BABA Short. Contract: $100 Puts. Entry $0.60, exit $0.84 (+40%)
AAPL Long. Contract: $148 Calls. Entry $0.56, exit $0.77 (+38%)
MARA Long. Contract: $8 Calls. Entry $0.15, exit $0.19 (+27%)
AMC Long. Contract: $16 Calls. Entry $0.22, exit $0.18 (-18%)
LCID Long. Contract: $20 Calls. Entry $0.35, exit $0.29 (-17%)
SQ Short. Contract: $60 Puts. Entry $0.47, exit $0.43 (-8.5%)
Week 3: 7/21/22
My results. You may do much better or worse…..I am looking to get a net profit of 10% – 20% from these ASAP then exit :). This week was about -15% net loss. Staying nimble and trading these defensively is my goal in this market.
My hope is that if I can manage the losing days like this one (this week the market tanked overnight Thursday) then when the big % winners hit it will be worth it! Kind of like angel investing – the odd winning week will dwarf all the losers :).
Here are this weeks trades. The main reason I survived with just an overall net loss of -15% (these all expired worthless on Friday!) is that I scaled out as they popped shortly after I placed the trades. The one I didn’t scale out of was $SHOP and I paid the price.
NVDA Long. Entry $0.69, exit $0.88 (27%)
AAPL Long. Entry $1.16, exit $1.2 (3.40%)
AMZN Long. Entry $0.88, exit $0.96 (9%)
PYPL Long. Entry $0.68, exit $0.41 (-40%)
RIOT Long. Entry $0.3, exit $0.28 (-6%)
SHOP Long. Entry $0.71, exit $0.05 (-95%)
I also tried to exit the more expensive contracts on the Thursday to reduce my overnight risk. I was up on AAPL significantly but failed to time an exit but still got out profitable on it because I didn’t want to risk those contracts expiring worthless as they were the most expensive ones.
Overall this week loss cancelled out last weeks gain.

It’s Thursday afternoon, which means I just finished my weekly trading Cheat Meal: Live 0-DTE trades, with a special guest today: Ethan Harms!

You’ll find this week’s “Junk Food” trade ideas below. As a reminder, these are our version of “lotto-style” trade ideas… EXTREMELY short-dated options with enormous volatility.
But before we get into it, let’s look at how last week’s plays worked out…
Back on 6/23/22 I alerted my LottoX Members to:
AMZN Long HONORABLE MENTION
Contract: $114 Calls
Ethan has been seeing alot of volume here on the calls. These are at .22 here.
And sure enough, the contract saw price action into the next day that brought the options contracts to 2.60+ each!
Reminder: All “0-DTE” contracts expire tomorrow, July 1st, unless otherwise noted.
AAPL Long
Contract: $140 Calls
Ethan likes this name here as the stock has been battered but Ethan sees some upside potential. These are trading around .54 here.
META Long
Contract: $170 Calls
Ben likes the squeeze potential on this one at these levels. The contracts are at .44 as of this writing.
AMC Long
Contract: $14 Calls
Ethan sees these as being very cheap and if they work, they really work. These are at .16 as of this writing.
PFE Long
Contract: $52 Calls
Ben really likes the looks of this chart as he sees momentum to the upside at these price levels. These are trading around .64 here.
SHOP Short HONORABLE MENTION
Contract: $31 Puts
Ethan sees that there is weakness here in the stock around these levels. These contracts are trading around .35 here.
XOM Short HONORABLE MENTION
Contract: $84 Puts
Ben has been looking at the drop down in oil and sees the correlation to this stock..40 as of this writing.
As always, keep in mind that these are my (or Ethan’s) trades, and we have our own objectives and risk-tolerance, which may dramatically differ from yours. “0-DTE” and similar “lotto-style” trades are not for everyone. They are, by their nature, lower-probability, higher-upside-potential trades that are not for the faint of heart.’
And look at how informative this email is! There’s a lot of useful information, as well as a recap of previous trades and so on.
Ben will put up some of his entries/exits in the workshop room… but you won’t ever see him mention an exit on something that was a loss…. Only the winners appear in the feed, according to Ben.
This is annoying because the content and discussions they provide in emails and live streams are of excellent quality.

Overall, I’m a big fan of the service’s energy.
Ben and Ethan do an excellent job finding and explaining 0-DTE plays that have the potential to pay out significantly.
I’d want them to be a bit more transparent about how they track their trades, etc., but it’s a decent service overall.
This is a great service, but there are a few things that I wish I knew before using it.
First, you need to be comfortable with losing money. If you’re not okay with the possibility of losing your entire investment, then this isn’t the service for you.
Second, I wish I knew about the concept of “degrees of freedom”
I wish I knew about the concept of “degrees of freedom” before using this service.
Degrees of freedom is a statistical term that refers to the number of independent variables in a set.
In the context of trading options, it refers to the number of different ways you can trade options.
For example, if you’re only trading options on the S&P 500, then you have one degree of freedom.
But if you’re trading options on the S&P 500, the NASDAQ, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average, then you have three degrees of freedom.
The more degrees of freedom you have, the more diversified your portfolio will be.
And a diversified portfolio is less risky than a concentrated one.
I wish I knew about this concept before using LottoX because I would have been more diversified in my trading (as I am now!).
