Who is Stefanie Kammerman?
There are not that many female traders that are well-known. The only other one that I can think of is Kiana Danial. Kiana is very well-known thanks to her awesome social media marketing!

Schoneld Securities
Stefanie got started in the early 90’s at an investment firm called Schonfeld Securities. These guys were using dark pool flow (more on this in the next section!) to make their trades. Schonfeld was one of the only firms to have access to this awesome data.
This was good timing for her because she was given $250k to trade with based on the dark pool flow. It turned out that she was excellent at trading like this! It seems that she got fed up working for people and decided to start her own trading chatroom.
Stefanie Kammerman: Dark Pool Secrets Book
This is THE book to read if you are interested in learning more about the dark pools and how to trade them.
Stefanie wrote this book to explain how she wins 90% of her trades and how she shows others to do the same.
Experience is a crucial part of using Dark pool data. This is something that Stefanie brings to the table. She has been doing this for over 2 decades!
I read the Dark Pool Secrets book carefully. It was really eye-opening and I learned a lot from it. I am sure that Stefanie Kammerman is a legitimate trader that really does gain an edge from utilizing the Dark pool data.
I highly recommend checking out the Dark Pool Secrets book – even if you never choose to join her premium Java Pit chatroom.

Exactly What Are Dark Pools?
These dark pools are private exchanges where massive amounts of buying/selling of shares occur between institutions. The data that is reported is held for up to 24 hrs which helps maintain the market equilibrium and not spook buyers or sellers into massively altering the price of the underlying.
This sounds shady, right? Apparently, the SEC still regulates these dark pools….so that is good.
So you can imagine if you can ‘tap into’ the dark pools data you can get an idea of the conviction (depending on the trade size) of some of the smartest financial minds in the world. Leveraging this information is extremely powerful.

Where can you find info on dark pool trades?
Stefanie provides information on how you can get your own dark pool data. There are only a couple of brokerages that give you the data though.
There are Lightspeed and Charles Schwab. They both include a dark pool data feed that you can use. It seems that Kammerman uses Lightspeed.

Stefanie Kammerman The Stock Whisperer
Stefanie is an expert at interpreting and trading the dark pool data. She focuses on volume of shares on the dark pool transactions. It would make sense that the higher the volume and value of the positions – the more conviction the big players have on the price direction of the underlying asset.
Think about it……would you bet $500MM unless you were very, very sure about the probability that a trade has a great risk to reward? These financial institutions know more than the average retail trader.
Sometimes that knowledge is not 100% kosher (like insider knowledge on a particular event that will dramatically move a stock) but sometimes it is just because they have done their due diligence with their vast resources that we could only dream of.
As with any trading strategy, it pays to be able to put pieces of the puzzle together from different sources. In this case Stefanie uses unusual options activity in the ‘normal’ markets as well as dark pool activity to figure out the likely price direction and conviction.
She does this very well! Her primary trading style is a mix of day trades and overnight swings. She uses options to leverage her capital.

Stefanie Kammerman Dark Pool Java Pit Review: Conclusions
Trading using dark pools as a guide is a relatively new method for finding winning trade ideas. While the dark pools themselves are very well-established from decades ago, traders are only really starting to use the data to make trades. Many experienced traders still don’t know they even exist!
The Java Pit gives traders the ability to network and learn from others that are using the dark pool prints to guide their trades. Stefanie seems to do a good job leading this group.
