At Raging Bull, he is currently running both Market Navigator and Ape Hunter. The services are quite different, but Jeff is a great trader and very transparent in his trade analysis and alerts.
He was previously a school gym teacher alongside Raging Bull co-founder, Jason Bond.

Market Navigator Review: What Do You Get?

- Pre-market Analysis on SPY via a live stream and a email newsletter.
- Live trade alert every morning on SPY options shortly after the market opens.

- Access to Jeff’s trading journal.
In Market Navigator, Jeff William offers a service in which he trades the SPY every morning. He does this via a live stream (audio and video) where you can follow along and even see him place his buy order.
This service use to be run by Davis Martin at Raging Bull. I feel like Jeff Williams does a better job though.
The market commentary both pre-market and throughout the trade is very useful.
The trade is usually a day trade, where he buys either calls or puts based on quick market direction.
Jeff believes that the SPY is a great way to get exposure to the overall market quickly, while also taking advantage of short-term price fluctuations. He uses technical analysis and news releases to help make his decisions.
Jeff has a proven track record of success in trading the SPY. He keeps meticulous records of every trade he makes and boasts a win rate of over 80%. He is constantly looking for ways to improve his strategy, which he shares with clients.

Market Navigator Review: Track Record

Here is a current snapshot of Jeff’s track record. These are trades that Jeff claims to have made and I think are pulled directly from him brokerage.
Usually, these trades are fairly quick and typically shortly after market opens. I usually expect a trade to last anywhere between 10 minutes to an hour.
Occasionally Jeff will hold these overnight or for a few days. In my experience I don’t recommend this – they are often the losing trades! I try to cut my losses quickly on these trades.
The win rate is high at about 80%. The typical win % per trade is around 15% on average. The losses can be larger though and while they don’t cancel out all the wins – it is very prudent to keep a tighter stop loss in my opinion than Jeff.
Jeff is typically trading small position sizes of between $500 to $2000 per trade.

Market Navigator Morning Email
You also get emails around 9am ET giving detailed plans for the day. These are an excellent part of the Market Navigator service.
Here is an example of one so that you can see what you get. They come out daily in pre-market.
‘Morning Update: Markets are up slightly to start this Wednesday as all eyes will be on Chicago PMI at 9:45ma, then Home sales at 10am then Fed Powell at 1:30pm. Could be a wild day in all directions! I’ll be watching $393 which was yesterdays low as an area of potential support and topside I will still have my eyes on $400 and $402.

Today’s key areas for me: Today is all about DATA. How will markets fair after a small pullback yesterday. Will buyers step in and support the pullback or will sellers continue to push markets lower? The current 200 MA line is at $402 which continues to be the next major hurdle for me on the daily chart. To the downside, the 20 MA sits around $391 which I would like to continue to see hold on any bigger pullback if there is one.

Even if you don’t plan on taking Jeff William’s SPY trades – the Market Navigator service is still extremely valuable. It gives you a deep insight into current market conditions and how the market is likely to evolve that day.
This is useful if you are trading ANYTHING that day :).
The alerts are more clear, transparent and easy to replicate than any other service I’ve seen. The retail cost is currently about $1600 a year for this service which is worth it in my opinion.
However, my favorite alerts service of all time from Raging Bull is called Bullseye Trades. It’s just one great swing trade every week (hold it for a few days usually) but it has a very high win rate and is so low-cost it’s ridiculous!
